Using recycled material to build furniture isn’t a new concept by any means, But with the seemingly endless availability of wood pallets, the DIY Wood Pallet Furniture craze has gained an incredible amount of interest in recent years.
I personally have only recently started using recycled wood from pallets and packing crates for furniture, and have been on a constant look out for resources and inspiration. Here are some of the wood pallet furniture resources that I have found in my recent searches.

Where to find Free Wood Pallets
Having the inspiration and the know-how to begin your DIY Pallet Project is pretty useless without the actual material required to begin, the wood pallet itself.
There’s no simple answer to the question of where to get free wood pallets. There is an interesting article on the subject on the “1001 Pallets” website, and they give a lot of great suggestions.

One of the main question we received on 1001Pallets from our readers is “Where to get free wooden pallets ?” or at least at a low cost in order to make your pallet DIY projects with them. There is no a simple answer to this question and it depend of the country you are leaving in and how the old wood pallets are managed in your country, but we will try here to give you some ways to try.
If you are in Australia, I would try searching for “Free Wooden Pallets” on Gumtree. The search I just did showed up 5 entries for Free Wooden Pallets in the Sydney area. All you need to do is pick them up.
And if you are in the US, you could do the same on a site like Craigslist.

I’ve been looking for ideas for upcycling old timber crates so this post has been very useful. I like that you’ve included a number of different resources for crate projects: books, pinterest, websites, etc. I’ll have to use these resources to find the right crate design for my home or yard.
